The course begins with a briefing and objective-setting session, allowing delegates to express any specific concerns or areas of focus.
The training will include an eyesight and vehicle check, followed by a driving demonstration by the trainer.
Participants will then drive for the remainder of the session, taking breaks as necessary.
The course will cover urban driving, other road types depending on location, and perceptual skill development, focusing on maintaining space, identifying risks, and effective communication with other road users.
The training is ideal for any driver who requires standard driver training and seeks additional help in specific areas of driving skills, such as speed awareness, fuel-saving techniques, parking and manoeuvring. Or just a general refresher course.
The training is also suitable for drivers transitioning to unfamiliar vehicles, such as moving from a car to a light commercial vehicle (LCV), and who require training or assessment in the new vehicle type.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a full and detailed report outlining their progress and areas of improvement.
This report will be sent to the driver, course booker, and Road Fleet team as required.
The training will help drivers enhance their driving skills, reduce the likelihood of preventable driving incidents, and increase confidence and safety on the road.
The course is available in half-day (09:00 – 12:30 or 13:00 – 16:30) or full-day (09:00 – 16:30) formats. Flexible hours can be requested during booking.
The workshops can take place at any suitable UK location.
