Not only do we equip our franchisees with the qualifications they need to find driving jobs easily after finishing training, we also make sure they become first-class instructors and receive all the best support for the duration of their courses.
No prior experience as an instructor is required to train to join RED – all you need is a passion for teaching and a desire to learn new skills. Once you start earning, you’ll realise there are all sorts of benefits to driving instructor jobs, from choosing how many hours you work to being able to fit your new career around your other commitments. And, if you like, you can venture into specialist areas such as fleet training and driver re-education.
You won’t just receive guidance from us while you’re training, either – our specialist team, who have more than 20 years’ experience in business development, will be on hand to help you get your new career on the road and maximise your earning potential.
People who choose driving careers with RED also have the opportunity to take an active role in their communities and spread the importance of road safety in local schools or colleges. What’s more, we’re one of the largest driving schools in the UK and always see new learner drivers coming to us for lessons, so you can rest assured there’ll be demand for your service once you finish training.

And, if you’re ready to get your shiny new driving job underway, we train right across the UK. On average, it takes six to nine months to complete your training, and at the end, you’ll need to pass tests set by the DVSA.
