If English isn’t your first language and you don’t feel confident about your English, that doesn’t have to be a road block on your way to getting a British driving licence. You will need a basic understanding of the language to pass the driving test and to read some road signs, but the DVSA know that you don’t need to speak like Churchill to be a responsible driver.
At RED we are proud of our school’s diversity. We’ve taught men and women from across the world to drive safely and pass the UK driving test but from April 2014 the DVSA has changed the rules so that practical driving tests must be conducted in only English or Welsh.
As one of the largest driving schools in the UK we offer driving lessons in dozens of different languages, If you’d like to book a foreign language driving lesson, or just require more information, get in touch by calling the phone number provided.
