Rixton boys pass first time with RED

Two of Rixton’s pop rock stars, Jake Roche, 21, and Danny Wilkin, 26, have passed their driving tests first time round with RED Driving School.

The “Me and My Broken Heart” singer, Jake Roche, was the first of the pair to start learning to drive in January and took his driving lessons with RED instructor Scott Cooper.

Lead vocalist, Jake, said: “It’s thanks to RED Driving School and my incredibly patient, professional and bearded instructor Scott Cooper, I successfully passed my first attempt at a driving test. “

He describes his experience with the words, “Easy as that!”. Jake passed his driving test in just two months.

Danny, keyboardist and bassist, shortly followed in Jake’s footsteps, taking up lessons with RED instructor Dave Bentley in March.

He also passed first time round a few weeks ago, also taking to social media to share his success and excitement.

In a tweet just before Danny’s test he sais: “I am not nervous… I promise! Bring on the test!”.

Rixton, composed of Jake Roche, Danny Wilkin, Charley Bagnall and Lewi Morgan is one of the freshest boy bands and it has seen great success since 2013, when their first song “Make Out” came out. Their first official single however, “Me and My Broken Heart”, has reached the tops of the charts in UK, Canada, USA and Sweden.

The boys are immensely popular and Jake Roche is currently engaged to Jesy Nelson from Little Mix.

Having Jake and Danny pass with RED Driving School increases the long list of celebrities that have learnt and passed with them. Others include Masie Williams, Nina Nesbitt and vlogger Jake Boys.
